Safari Rifle Shoot 2026 - 18 July !

We will be shooting the Safari/Buffalo rifles again this year. The dates available are 22 August or in July. What works best for everyone?

We will be having the event on 18 July! Hope to see you all there! We're keeping the 9.3mm/.366 minimum, but once again it's wide open. So far on the open event side it's been won by a scoped 9.3x62mm bolt gun and a scoped .45-70 lever gun. The express sight division has been won by bolt actions in .505 Gibbs and .458 Winchester Magnum.

Safari Rifle & Guide Gun 2025

We are going to repeat the Safari Rifle & Guide Gun shoot on 23 August! Last year was very entertaining and we have some improvements in mind for this year. Same 9.3mm minimum for bolt guns and 45/70 for levers, all with full power loads as last year.

Drilling and Tapping a rifle.

I have no idea where to post this on the website. If I were looking to get a rifle drilled and tapped whereabouts would I go to get that done? Anywhere or anyone reliable enough that I could trust to get my rifle set up for a scope in the area?

Shotgun Choke questions

I’ve got a choke issue, I’m having troubles figuring out the orientation of the chokes I have in my shotgun for skeet and trap shooting. I have a full choke, mod choke, and a skeet choke for an over under shotgun. Would the skeet choke go on the bottom and the mod on the top? or full on the top and mod on the bottom?

I guess it depends on if you're taking a near or far first shot.
